Driver Accidentally Runs Over Wife

(Margate, FL) -- A Margate man was trying to be a gentleman and protect his wife from getting wet in the rain, but he accidentally drove over her instead and pinned her under the car. According to firefighters, the man was trying to back his car as close to the front door of his condo as possible so his wife didn't have to walk in the rain. Instead, he drove over her and didn't even realize it. A neighbor says the man even went back inside the condo to look for his wife before realizing she was under the car. Firefighters used airbags to lift the vehicle off the woman. She was taken to the hospital but suffered only minor injuries.
